What do you think is the better option when one considers marriage: to marry someone similar or to choose someone different from oneself? Discuss both options and state which one you choose. (Essay)

       When one person, a man or a woman, is sure that he or she has found their soulmate and has been with him for a long enough time, they both, the man and the woman, start thinking about getting married and living their entire life together. But what is more important than this desicion is whether the chosen one is the right one and whether he is able to satisfy all of our needs, to be loving and caring. There are two contrary opinions about which one is better - the one who thinks the same way as we do or the one who is just the opposite but, at the same time, is complementary to us. I think that there is no perfect option for our future husband or wife - there are pros and cons for both situations and it is up to us to cope with everything that does not satisfy us.
        Firstly, most people think that the opposites attract each other and complement one another but I think that this is a private case of when one couple has been living as a family for years and the husbands are already used to the other's needs and know what the other would like or want, what he loves and desires. I do not fully sustain this statement because in my opinion when people are too different they cannot get over their personal needs so as to satisfy the other's. Of course, there are cases when opposites are so attracted by each other that the formed couple lives together forever.
       Secondly, fewer people stand behind the statement that people who are the same as characters can live together as a married couple for a long time, but I am not one of those people. My opinion is that when a man and a woman carry the same or similar zodiacal signs they have almost the same needs, likes and dislikes - music, colours, food, style of clothing. And I think that this is of great importance when it comes to a marriage - if the couple does not think identically, I do not think that their relationship will last long, because they will always quarrel about petty things.
       Marriage is a huge step in everybody's life and personally I think that the ideal partner everybody should look for is the one who is almost the same in character as ourselves.
